Does the (clean) Mavericks install effect the Bootcamp partition?

Have Mountain Lion now w/ a Bootcamp partition.

Can I keep the Bootcamp partition and make a clean Mavericks install? Does the new OS effect the Bootcamp partition? I don't want to reinsall both...

I just want to erase the ML partition, make a fresh install and hopefully my Bootcamp partition will be intact.
