just asking, cause there aren't many tv's that do 1080p and jus twant to make sure, cause my brother keeps asking me if it doesn 1080p and i have no idea if it does or not. I can watch the 1080p trailers on the apple site on the dell 2405FPW, but was wondering is it deinterlaced or not? like how does that work?

thanks

Yes the 2405FPW and the apple 23" cinema display will display full resolution 1080p. Anyone can watch apple's 1080p trailers but they will need at least a 2405FPW or the apple 23" cinema display to see them at full resolution. To see them at a full frame rate you will need at least a G5 and at least a Radeon 9600XT (maybe 9800XT).

You are wondering if is deinterlaced or not? well the p stands for progressive so there is nothing interlaced to deinterlace.

But really what is the point in being 1080p compatible when the ONLY 1080p source material available is 5 out dated movie trailers on Apple's site?

ALL HD Television signals are 720p and 1080i no 1080p yet sorry!

True 1080p yes. But I'm still not completely sure about the connecting methods if you're using a console. Should be ok though.
