Does the ECG app get installed by model number or Apple ID?

I don’t have a series 4 yet but I’m getting one.

Does the Apple server install the ECG app according to the US hardware model number or the Apple ID?

I participated in the heart rate study simply by logging in with a US Apple ID but I’m thinking this is a little different and will go by model number.

Can anyone confirm?

Unlike some other restrictions that are based on the user region. FDA clearance is based on where the item is sold.

Yeah no doubt. Impossible to impose restrictions on a consumer buying a product from the US. That would be draconian. Can we see your passport please? lol
