Does the external Superdrive A1379 write DVD Dual Layer?

I have the usb external superdrive and would like to find out if it writes dual layer.
The only spec's I can find are on my system report:
DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO

So it reads DL but does +RW mean it does NOT write DL?
Should it say +RW DL to indicate it writes dual layer?

+RW means it can write to DVD discs of type DVD+RW

No. Dual layer DVDs are not available in re-writable formats of DVD-RW or DVD+RW, afaik.
-R DL and +R DL tell you that it does write dual-layer discs.
