So recently I have had to time watch some movies on my MBA.
And i notice that, with the volume turned up about 20% of the way, the fan noise is LOUD. Like, it is as loud as it could ever be.

Is this normal?

This happened just now, while i was watching a documentary, and it was paused, while i waited it to load. It wasnt even playing!

That is normal. When the CPU was working hard enough to generate enough heat to cause the fan to spin faster, then stopped working as hard and started to idle, the heatsinks are still hotter than the CPU and require the fan to still be spinning fast. The fans also don't slow down very fast, like they do when things get hot and they need to spin faster.
