What I mean by that question is that the iPhone that was on show in the UK ran the 1.1.1 firmware and worked with an O2 SIM card - if 1.1.1 is an international firmware then surely the phone will now recognise not just AT&T cards but also O2, T-Mobile and Orange as they all will have it in there respective countries!?

It makes sense to me, though I imagine yourd have to have the country specific SIM not just any orange sim for example! any thoughts?

This may even help us Europeans with unlocked phones without real AT&T sims in that maybe we won't have to unlock it now and maybe activation will be easier?
