Just wondering,
Does the iPad 2 have a... um... I don't really know what to call it, the rubber/plastic ring around the edge of the iPad between the aluminum backing and the bezel? With the iPad 1, a lot of my friends had troubles with that black rubber/plastic thing bubbling up or coming completely off.
From what i can tell from Apple's pictures, is that the new iPad does not have one around the display, but could anybody confirm this?

Any Troubles with it so far?

The rubber is not visible on the iPad 2 like it was on the original iPad. Perhaps, they took note of these reports and improved the design.

Yes it is. The gasket still sits around the screen but not directly facing the user. Think of it more like the one around the edge of the iPhone glass.

Well, I certainly can't see it. I have the white iPad 2 and it is not visible.

Excuse the poor lighting on my iPhone pic but it is a seamless transition from the aluminum back to the glass front.

See the gray part between the aluminum and glass? Yeah, that's the gasket. It's black on the black iPad. It's there.
