I feel like it's a possibility considering Apple is bridging the gap between devices (i.e. iWork on iPhone and iPod touch) and PC-free is a "feature" in iOS 5. Also I'm pretty sure in the keynote Steve Jobs said that certain people want to use iPhones as there main computer (which makes no sense to me either but I'm just pretty sure he said something along those lines).

Can anyone with iOS 5 beta confirm/refute whether or not the kit can be used with an iPhone now? Thanks.

Just plugged my camera connection kit into my iPhone 4s. I get the message "This Accessory is Not Supported by iPhone".
Went ahead and plugged in my camera , Canon 7D, and nothing happened. So it would seem the connection kit does not work with the non-JB iPhone 4s.
