Is it just as easy to take off and swap as the cloth keyboard thing? I have needs for both keyboards as well as no keyboard. So I like the idea of swapping a lot with the magnets.

Does the iPad detach from the Magic Keyboard as well as the other keyboard?

It detaches very easily. There is not much effort needed to remove it. Once it is secured on the Magic Keyboard, you don’t have to worry about it sliding down or falling off with normal use.
Yes it’s easy to remove. I just switched from the smart keyboard folio and much prefer the new magic keyboard. In the folio case I often detached the cover by accident when moving the device around. That does not happen with the magic keyboard. And its much easier to remove from the cover.
The only thing about the Magic Keyboard is that is seems to readily attract anything that may be floating in the air. You have to constantly wipe tiny specs of this, that, and the other way from the keyboard area.
