Does the iPad play certain vids on websites th iPhone doesn't?

I'm coming over from a iPhone to the iPad and a noticed certain sites like NBA.com play video where on my phone they don't, what's up with that?

Some sites even say on my phone require flash to play but on the iPad work perfectly :confused:
