so i was reading Anandtech's review, and its interesting, because the move to 64-bit for Apples A7 processor means its a new ARM architecture, ARmv8 to be exact, and i am pretty sure ARMv8 is Cortex-A57 and Cortex A-53.. which comes out next year

the 5s scores a higher score on Geekbench 3 then the Snapdragon 800 SoC, so I am thinking Apple has 2 Cortex-A57 cores in there probably clocked around 1.3 ghz... this seems to be the case...
