I just got my space gray 5S two ago and I've been wondering if I should use a screen protector on it, I am leaning towards no though.

Edit: I actually just bought the moshi Airfoil screen protector and it is pretty good :)

Personal preference (I use one), depends on how careful you are with your phone I guess. The screen is scratch resistant but not scratch proof.

Screen protector= screen protection(along with a protective case)= higher resell value if you take care of It properly. I have one for my iPhone 5, iPod touch 5 and iPad 1. I am not going to sell my stuff, I just like my iDevices in mint condition.

One thing I hate about plastic screen protectors is that they get dirty easier and are bigger fingerprint magnets than the actual glass screen. I have tried both the plastic and glass protectors. The glass is much better and if you want something glass that is thin and cost less than many of the so called premium plastic protectors, get the iloome.

It's not necessary, especially if you have a good case with a raised lip around the front.

I sold my 4S for 350 just a few days ago and I had had it for two years with a good case but the screen was left untouched. It had been dropped quite a few times, including twice from above waist height on concrete and the screen didn't have a scratch on it.

I mean, it definitely does help, and it really does provide piece of mind I'm sure. Like someone else said it's definitely just a personal preference.

I just prefer the feel of the glass screen without any barriers in between.

I put a screen protector on my 5, because I'd rather that the replaceable protector take any damage rather than the screen itself.

The big trade off is that screen protectors are inconvenient to install. Until I managed to learn the "hinge" method of using tape to align the protector, I had some slightly crooked protectors. Also, it's a pain to keep dust specks from getting on the glass during installation.

Hopefully the screen protector I just put on will last awhile.

The 5S screen scratches easily. Mine scratched within 3 days even though I keep nothing else in that pocket expect for the phone. It's a minor scratch, but still annoying.

Yes. My brothers 5s screen scratched within a week of getting it. Get a glass screen protector so that it feels the same as the naked screen.

on my iPhone 5 , I've been using the TechArmor Matte Antiglare & Fingerprint resistant screen protector and it's been very goo , So today I ordered another for the 5S so whenever I get it , I will have it ready to go.

You've all convinced me (especially that peace of mind part) I'm very very careful with my devices especially those made by Apple, I like em in perfect condition, so I went ahead and grabbed the moshi airfoil clear for the iPhone 5/5S, moshi IMO is the second best screen protector maker, the first being SGP :)

I went with ghost armor installed right after I left the Apple store on launch day. Mine was the first 5s they did. I like the added protection it gives and to be honest I forget its on there.
