iPod touch Does the ipod touch 3rd Gen have a mic?

Does the 3rd gen have a mic or was that only put in the 4th Gen ipod touch?

Iif i buy a ipod touch i want to use it as a VOIP as well as music player while connected to wifi,

Will i need to buy the 4th gen for a mic to be built in? As i don't want to fool around with a headset

only the 4th generation has a mic.
If you want to use a third generation use headphones like the ones that come with the iPhone of a bluetooth headset- you wont look weird lots of people use them.

if you want a mic built in the only way to go is to get the 4th gen or an old iphone. You wouldn't have to fool around with a heatset just use the apple headphones with mic.

Looks like its the 4th gen to buy then as I can't be bothered fooling around with headphone or bluetooth headsets when making/taking calls (VOIP)
