Lets say the album art of an album is a rectangular shape,will it keep its original dimensions or will the ipod touch force it to be square,thus screwing everything up.

iPod touch Does the iPod touch Resize album art?

It'll appear as it does in iTunes, but will be scaled down proportionally. So, not squashed, but the same dimensions as if it were a square — making it appear smaller. At least, that's what looks to be happening.
