Does the Mail.app bounce feature work?

I tested it by trying to bounce a message from a junk email account I sent to my primary email account, but I never received a bounce email saying that my account did not exist.

Has anyone gotten the bounce feature to work?

Using Gmail, I got the bounce feature in OS X Mail to work. Not an issue and for those folks who I want to think the address is no longer responding, it has worked as desired.

I use it on all my junk mail. One or two bounced messages will bounce back, but in the main it appears to work as expected.
