Does the MBP 2011 have a new mounting system for HDDs?

Last year I tried a Seagate XT Hybrid drive in a MBP 2009 of a friend. It gave pretty strong vibrations to the external case.

Now I tried a XT in my MBP 2011 13". It has zero vibration.

So maybe the XT improved but maybe the mounting system improved too? I can't remember the older MBP having the rubber mounting system. Or did it?
