just upgrading from old macbook to new macbookpro

does the migration wizard do a good job? (or are you better off reinstalling s/w from scratch to get a good clean system)

In a nutshell, it works great. However, I don't recommend it necessarily if you are upgrading MacOSX alongside (minor versions are ok) as some user property files and links may have changed.

When I updated from my Mac Mini to my iMac migration assistant worked great. I think there might have been one or two apps that I had to re-enter my license key on first execution, but that was it.
