Does the "More Space" option means more GPU load?

While selecting the "More Space" option in the "Scaled" resolutions panel this means that GPU is forced?

Or is it the original resolution?

Wondering if this means that I've selected the original resolution. The "Default" choice looks like a Scaled UI. Am I wrong?
