I'm excited to hear that the cloud photo backup is being made more robust in Yosemite. Does anybody know how it works?

I'm hoping it just automatically uploads all of my iPhoto library (at full quality with book projects) to the cloud.

Not yet. iPhoto is still a silo for your photos until the new Photos.app comes out in early 2015. Makes sense though, with all of Apple's trouble with QA in their software lately, you kind of want to have that service beta tested in iOS before you commit your years of family photos to it.

So the cloud Photo tiered pricing doesn't launch now? I was hoping to order my new iMac and place everything in the cloud to free up some space on my mac. I guess I'll keep doing manual backups!!
