It is not the Sony imx903 with double stacked design that was rumored?
It would be super insane if Apple thinks updating the ultra wide only is more important than the main if that’s the case.
No one really cares about the ultra wide
The 2nd most important camera sensor is the telephoto not the ultra wide.

I think the sensor changed (faster readouts) but it’s still the same size, they quoted 2.44um pixels which is the same as 14 Pro and 15 Pro, the imx903 would’ve had 2.8um pixels. Shame I really wanted a bigger sensor this year…
 
I was hoping for new main camera (1x) sensor but based on pixel size, looks like it is the same.
Is there any information about 1x lens yet? It is not just the same with new coating? Another big issue for me in 15 PM is the lens where it has very small focused area.

Also probably from sensor and lens combination, I find it very hard to get decent focused and detailed pictures indoors. Also I hate that 2x is just crop, I'd rather have 2x lens instead of 1x to get full sensor in use for 2x.
