Does the update to itunes fix the error message 9 issue for ios 4.0.1?

im heading up to brum straight from work to swap it, but if it fixes it i will head home and shan't bother going up to apple? just saves me a long journey, so if anyone had the error 9 message and has tested this theory please reply....
