To elaborate...

I often have to access office 365 documents in Microsoft’s sharepoint platform. I have permissions to view these documents, but not download them for offline use. This means I can’t open them in excel on my iPad pro and copy content from them for other documents.

HOWEVER, on macOS, I’m able to just highlight the content online, hit CMD and C and then paste it directly as plain text. This obviously doesn’t work on iOS with the share sheet or the on screen copy options.

My question is does CMD and C on the Apple Smart Keyboard allow you to copy and paste like it does on the Mac, or does it just invoke the iOS copy and paste mechanic, which in this case just grabs the link to share the entire document?

Very specific question I know, but I won’t have the time to visit my local Apple store until the weekend to try this out.

CMD X, C and V work the same in iOS as on a Mac, for cut, copy and paste. However, you must highlight the text you want to cut or copy using the touch screen, then you can simply put the cursor where you want and use CMD V to paste that test.
