Does the "Sony Power Media Dock" work with a MacBook?

Hello guys,

I got a questions about the Sony Power Media Dock. I really like what they created and it seems to be something I've been waiting for a loooong time. Well, but as I am a mac user, there is an important question swirling around in my head: Does the Power Media Dock from Sony work with the MacBook Pro/Air which got Thunderbolt peripherals?

It's a shame Apple didn't invent such a thing. Because if it works, I would gladley buy one.

In short no.

In long, the power media dock utilises the lightpeak architecture but in a proprietary form. Looking at the images on the page. You can see that it simply will not connect to any macs using the thunderbolt-esque connection.

Thank you for your answer. That picture really shows that it has a different port than the Thunderbolt ports we're used to know from MacBooks. Alright. Doh.
