Does the universal ipod remote will work with the macbook pro?

Since the apple remote is no more shipped with the MBP, is this a way to bypass this missing piece?

Yes. Also, the remote is available for $20 from the Apple Store.

Since I already own the universal ipod remote, I will gladly keep 20$ on my wallet. I'm not using the remote right now, or will (with the Ipod) but surelly it will be handy once I get my MBP.

Maybe you already have this Remote somewhere, don't buy it again...

I believe the apple remote is the same for all of there devices (appleTV, MB, MBP, iMac, Mac Mini, iPod, ect)
