Does the US Ipad 3g work on UK networks?

Hi, I'm getting an iPad from the states in a couple of weeks and would like to know if the 3g iPad is unlocked so i can use whichever uk network i'd like?

Can anyone help me with this matter? :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Yes. You'll have to cut down your SIM or get a micro-sim card from your carrier.

It is unlocked so you can use it with any carrier worldwide.

Steve said in the launch presentation (or Keynote as they say in America) that ALL iPad 3G's are sold unlocked for use on ANY network. Of course that network needs to operate within the frequencies that are technically possible on the iPad.

Ultimately though, yes the iPad will work with all UK networks. Vodafone, O2, and Orange have even announced that they will be offering iPad specific bundles. More info should be available from 10th May.
 
My only question would be if the UK iPad will have the activate cellular data for their networks. Cause on the US it's linked to AT&T and not sure how to change that.
