Just out of curiosity, does it show up in iTunes, Xcode Device Organizer, System Profiler, or Device Manager on a Windows PC, or is the supplied USB cable strictly for charging?

I'm also hoping someone could tear down the cable to see the circuitry in there and see if it could be reverse-engineered or something. I wouldn't mind a NomadKey-like charger you could put on your keychain or throw into a bag.

There is no way to plug it in. The supplied cable is only for power, it doesn't transfer data.

I mean, there has to be a way to plug it in, right? The cable just looks like it runs out to USB.

EDIT: oh, wait, while there may be no way to "plug it in", the inductive charging probably can't support data transfer.
