Does the watch still work even when not connected to the Internet?

I live in the country side with my girlfriend and though we get good wifi, we don't really get good network courage (aside from getting text messages and phone calls) except when in the city and 4G is available. So just wondering if the watch will still work when I'm outside in the country?

It'll work if your phone works. So if you can't get data in some way on your phone (whether over the cellular network or your wireless network) then the watch also can't get data. That doesn't mean the watch is totally useless, but it will of course limit its functionality somewhat.
