Hello,
I run a 27" monitor off of my rMBP, and have solely the monitor running and not the display (while at home and for doing anything except fine fine fine fine fine color grading). Does it make sense that my gaming performance would increase as a result of less usage as a result of not needing to power the display? Hopefully you can follow what I'm saying...anyway, does it make sense or is it only hypothetical?

It may increase because it is not having to drive as many pixels...
