I want to compare LTE data speeds across networks. IF i do the following test, what other factors do I need to consider? I plan on getting an iPhone 5.
Im not here to ask which carrier (between AT&T or Verizon) is best... Im trying to figure out this for myself. and here is a quick test i plan to do over the next few days.
I plan to go to 2-3 of each company store and run a speed test through Speakeast.net/speedtest or Speedtest.net on a Samgsung Galaxy S3 and record the speeds then average them out. I will make sure Im not using a WiFi connection when i do this. The reason for multiple stores is each is in a different part of town and different distances to towers.
I currently use a iP4 and I have signal issues along my main driving route into work. Also have reception issues in one of the offices Im at 1-2 times a week. Im hoping to switch to VZW to help this problem but I dont know what issues I will have if I do. No carrier is perfect. But im trying to find the best for my area.
Im sure it will be better to do this test with an iPhone 5 but in my area there wont be many on display for many months i think...
Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
