Does this website work for anyone?

I needed to send a quick txt message to a Verizon user the other day and went to this website:

http://text.vzw.com

The page loads fine, but when I click in the "Your Message" box, the keyboard pops up for about a second then disappears again. I could not get it to stay on long enough to actually type my message. Does it work on anyone else's ipad? If not, why? Why would it kind-of work, but not completely?

Same results here - both from Safari and the Atomic Web browser.

There are the conventional texting solutions - google voice, etc. to send texts from the iPad...

Yeah ... Google Voice was what I eventually used. I just thought it was weird that the keyboard would keep retracting like that and wondered if there was something wrong with my ipad.

Any ideas what causes that behavior? It isn't flash.

I send text messages to cell phones by email. I do this because I don't have unlimited text messages but I do have unlimited data.

Use this to text a Verizon cell phone. It is different to text AT&T numbers.
