Hi all,

Brand new to the Mac world. A lot of good info on this forum. Got a lot of my Parallels questions answered.

I am considering splitting the internal hard drive into two partitions. One would contain the bootable with all applications and documents. The other would hold music and photos. I figured this would help with faster access times. I plan on using a portable external usb HD for time machine to do its backups. However, will it backup all the files from both partitions? And if I were ever to restore from a backup, would it split the current HD into two partitions just like it is on time machine? I searched around and can't seem to find an answer. Thanks for looking community!
