I noticed some have commented that Time Machine seems to bring their computers to a crawl.
I had no problems until I hooked up my iSight. Its one of those no longer sold external ones. When hooked up my mouse jerks about and overall the computer appears slow. If I unplug it, even during backup process, everything springs back instantly.
Its seems as if the iSight has some effect on the FireWire bus whether its on or off. I recall reading something about iSights and FireWire long ago that was similar to this. But if I copy files manually over to the drive, everything seems fine.
So this is more of and FYI and try it our sorta thread for those who have crawl issues during backups.
