I have an official unlocked AT&T iPhone 4 with a T-Mobile sim. I set it up for my mom to use iMessage, however when attempting to send her a message via iMessage, it doesn't go through. She doesn't receive anything? Even though its set to receive at all her emails, appleid and mobile number. Does iMessage only work with AT&T phones and not T-Mobile?

does tmobile support iMessage and FaceTime?

iMessage should work with any data connection. Try messaging yourself or someone else and see what happens.
Strange, its not working. Even when trying to send someone an iMessage via the iPhone 4 with t-mobile sim, the name stays green (signifying SMS). Even though the person I am trying to message has iMessage activated. It works with my iPad though. but not sure why my iPhone 4 with tmobile sim is having problem sending and receiving iMessages.
