My guess is that the type of people that will jailbreak it will have no problem getting iOS 6 back on it.

If you are on 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 then there isn't a jailbreak for those iOS versions so I wouldn't worry to much. Anything earlier though and I wouldn't update for resale purposes.
