Hi guys n girls

Could somebody tell me the right thing here? I'm currently in a dispute about whether USB1.1 can charge a device.

My reason that it can't is because on my mates PC, the USB2.0 charged things fine, but the USB1.1 ports he had couldn't...

Could somebody please explain the difference and maybe a link to some evidence.

Thanks for your help guys

Cheers

If the 1.1 ports are on the computer itself they should be at full power. Still, if they have many devices daisy chained on the port the amperage per device drops. You might want a powered hub if you want to charge a lot of devices.
