My boyfriend and I FaceTime a lot. I have an iPhone 5s and he has an iPod touch I don't know what generation but his mum has been complaining that us FaceTiming runs up her wifi bill. I'm not good at technology but I didn't think it ran up the wifi bill. I use wifi when we FaceTime and it doesn't run up my bill. We live in the same city and we only audio chat. Does her wifi really cost more when we chat on FaceTime than it normally does?
Thank you

That all depends on what you are doing when using FaceTime.

it depends.

Comcast, ATT. Negligible. Basically no.

CLEAR? Verizon MiFi? Yes.

What service provider?

Just checked my usage:
11 minutes of FaceTime audio for 7MB.
10 minutes of FaceTime audio for 6 MB
39 minutes of FaceTime audio for 23 MB

Honestly, browsing Facebook/web for 11 minutes will use more data than that (because of ads, flash, and other rich media content) So you'll be fine
