i upgrading from S3 cellular to S4 cellular, wondering if there’s $30 upgrade fee like iPhones do.

Choose keep plan when unpairing the old watch. When pairing the new watch restore cellular service. A menu should pop up showing to Switch the service to the new esim/watch.

If you choose to delete the plan and setup the service as a new plan. You will be charged for activating a new line.

when I went through the cellular section on my phone to set up service on my watch it says it will charge $30 to activate. I'd like to try out the lte on my watch but not if I have to pay $30 on top of the $10 access fee to use the plan I already have o_O

Yeah, the $30 activation is there for the first time you sign up. Luckily not there when/if you upgrade.

Any one had luck getting it waived? If I stop service on the watch and then start it again later do you know if there will be another activation fee each time?

eta.. I don't mean to thread jack, seems relevant still

I was waiting for the upgrade fee and was pleasantly surprised that there was no fleecing or weird charges. The Verizon rep helped me to get set up and was super nice. (Had some kind of postal address not recognized issue that they resolved,)

Just looked and I was charged an upgrade fee of $30 on my Verizon bill. I used switch watch plan the same and I still got hit with the $30.

I'm hoping that this doesn't happen to me!! Didn't think to go back and check my bill. So unfair. Did you disconnect your service or just go through the watch to update it?
