I'm just curious as im going to buy a new laptop soon and love the design of apple products, the white macbooks look like they would be very hard to maintain (looks wise) due to scratching and fingerprints... Is this the case?

I've had mine for two days... the white part hasn't got dirty/scratched yet. Probably because I'm taking good care of it. But you might want to get a case and one of those zagg guard protectors for it (if they have any for the mac).

I've had my MacBook rev. 6,1 for 10 months now. It has scratches, but literally you have to hold it in a certain light to see it, so basically its a total non issue. I use no case, just a "sleeve" for travel by incase. It's soft faux fur inside, is ideal.

You'll be fine, and enjoy it....
