does winebottler acts as a sandbox too?

i want to know if using winebottler works as a sandbox too in my OS X 10.7
i recently open a keygen.exe file on my mac by running the mac os version of the file which is actually the same windows' keygen.exe packed in a winebottler app. while i don't know if the file is clean or not, i want to know if the file is infected, could it mess mith my OS X? or it could only mess with the wine filesystem as a sandbox?
