Does your Apple TV make loud noise?

I have a rather old version of TV - it's true but before buying the ATV 4th gen - which is also my first ATV ever, I used an ASUS Oplay! Mini.

I noticed a few nights ago a pretty loud background noise - when there is nothing playing.
It's like a background white noise - pretty annoying in the evening when my kids are sleeping - if I leave the TV on- especially now that I realise it's there.

Do you have similar experience or it's just my TV?

I am so confused by your post. First, what exactly do you have that is making the noise? From your title, it sounds like you have an Apple TV that is making noise. From your post, I can't quite tell if the noise comes from an old TV, and old AppleTV, or a new Apple TV that you bought. You also mention an ASUS Oplay!, but I can only assume that is extraneous information, unless that is making the noise.

Anyhow, to answer the question in your thread title, my Apple TV is completely silent.
