For some reason when I'm at work my speeds are about 150-175 kbps. But when I'm on the highway with a friend my speeds decrease to about 30 kbps is this normal or do I have a damaged iphone? Does your iPhone edge speeds decrease also when you are on the highway? Thanks

Well, because you're traveling so fast you're getting disconnected from one network tower (thing 
) and being reconnected to another. This maybe causing the slowdown. for me my 3G goes slower on Maps when we're traveling.

I notice that sometimes I'm switching from EDGE to 3G and there are dips and dead spots during my morning/evening commute, but I've not done any testing of speed yet, but I'll give it a try tomorrow...
Okay thank you I was using the inetwork test app from the app store. Can you test your Edge and 3G speeds while on the highway?
Maybe you're driving one way and the bits are going the other way? Did you try turning the car around?
For some reason its slower on the speedtest app when I am running the speedtest. Im going to try the inetwork test app and see the results.
You ARE letting your friend try the app not yourself while driving on the highway right?
