iPhone Does your Instagram (on iOS 7) play videos?

a new update got out, don't know if this fixes this issue, just wondering if you've gotten instagram to play videos

mine just stays there like buffering but videos don't play

Mine plays them once in a while but most of the time it does the same. Hopefully someone will chime in but I'm not sure if it's even an iOS 7 issue. Back just a few months ago Instagram was still having problems loading pictures even in iOS 6.

Just turn off auto play and tap on videos you actually want to see.

I thought it was just my connection, but seems like this is a real problem. Hope they fix it properly soon.

Mine does the same. Some work, some don't. I'm not completely sure this is an iOS 7 issue completely, but an Instagram backhaul issue in which the video isn't buffering and pushed to the UI well. I expect it to be fixed in the "iOS 7" update after the public release, though.
