I am going to do a survey about how many iPads out there have scratches.

Can you please answer these simple questions? (I might have cookies!)

1. How many scratches does your iPad have, if any?
2. What generation is it?
3. How long have you had it?
4. Do you have a case, if you do what kind?

Thanks!

Ill start

1. My iPad has 4 scratches, not too bad just enough to make rainbows, but on the edges of screen.
2. First
3 Since the second day they were released :)
4. I used an Apple Case and had no scratches, but then got an OtterBox and ended up with all four scratches over the span of a couple months... ironic, eh?

none

$3 amazon seller skin

My 4 year old MacBook has none.

My 5 year old original iPhone (that I got from my wife the day the 3GS came out) has 2. I dropped it on a steel floor and in a rock pile.

My 3GS iPhone (that I got from my wife the day the 4S came out) has none.

my ipad 1 has a lot of scratches on the back (too many to count)
my ipad 2 has about four or five scratches on the back
I now have a case for both.
I got both of them the day they both respectively came out.

I did hear about the faulty protecting screen thing with the first ipads... Its either that or the fact I take it so many places :D

The back of my iPad got covered in scratches when some air molecules accidentally hit it a while ago. It's a first gen, and I use an Otterbox and screen protector.

1. None.
2. iPad 2
3. Eight months
4. Smart cover on front, clear Joy Factory snap on hard cover on the back, and carried in a Cocoon sling bag (which is well padded).

My iPad goes everywhere with me: to my office, travels, shopping, and functions as a giant iPod during my daily 30-minute walks.

1. No scratches
2. First generation
3. 1 year 3 months
4. Yes, Skinomi screen protector on the front and a folio case for the rest from Amazon

Two on the back

6 months
Yoobao executive leather & TPU case from Amazon.

They arent big scratches just tiny ones you can only see them in certain light but they don't bother me. No matter which case you have on the iPad there is still a chance it can pick up scratches eventually unless you have one of those skins by ZAGG etc but even then it can still get scratched on the places it doesn't cover.

SCRATCHES - no way

No scratches at all.

I keep it in the cases 99.9% of the time in a rooCase Executive Portfolio Case. I love it.
