Hi,

ever since I brought this phone, I have been amazed, as it does what apple says. It just works, I had no defects (week 34) Nothing, dust, nothing.

And I'm using mail, etc it's just a plesure, I don't care for no MMS or anything this phone is what I wanted.

Does your iPhone do it for you?

Mostly it does what I want, I have the occasional issues with it

As you poll is very extreme I am unable to vote

just wondering the fact is that mine just works.. and many people have a problem with they're phones.

I might vote if their was a option that would suit me... I'll just say that my iPhone isn't just working right now as I am having the "mystery battery/usage leak" problem.

snverhallen

My option is between the middle as well. But I really hope mine just works.

For a casual iPhone user, there is little problem. But for an OCD corporate iPhone user, which apparently is 99% of the posters here, there are lots of problems.

I purchased the 1st Gen iPhone from a friend and I haven't had too many problems except for the common bugs and what not

I am curious as to how some people say they have no issues at all, is it just used as a phone and the rest is ignored.

I dont have major issues but I occasionally have sync issues (data entered into calendar dosnt get back to Mac)
Apps occasionally crash
As a couple of examples

Why would you make that assumption?

I use mine as an all-around PDA, phone, communication device, do minor editing/viewing of documents, etc. All the same or more than when I used my Treo. It wouldn't work for my life as only a phone.

I have no sync problems, no phone problems, nothing. The only problem I have is that Safari crashes too often for my liking. Actually, it crashes more with 2.1 than with any other firmware, but that's it for me.

I don't consider the third party app crashes to be an iPhone problem. I consider the crashes to be a programming issue, since 90% of my apps are totally stable. One of the worst offenders is the NYTimes app. That thing is ridiculously crashy.

Safari and the other native apps are a different story, and obviously should be blamed on Apple.

Edit Documents?

How do you do that, or are they native Apple docs?

As far as "just working", I guess I fall in to that category.

I mean, I still think the battery life isn't the greatest, but other than that, 2.1 seems to work pretty well.

What I am getting at is people that say its perfect and have no issues

As you say that you have had problems, would you say that the phone is flawless/perfect or that there are still issues that need fixing

Whoever is at fault for the issues, Apple, 3rd party app designers, if there are problems with it, IMO, it cannot be flawless

As I said earlier, I do have minor problems, nothing to major, I would say the iPhone is a great device and I woudnt want to be without it now, but I woudnt say it was perfect

Just trying to understand how people can vote for the above poll

My point is that I don't think blaming the iPhone for the crashes of third party apps is fair. Therefore, flawless vs. problematic should only be determined by the phone's native capabilities.

Yes, I'm having a few problems, with Safari (Apple's fault) and a few third party apps (developer's fault). I've sent bug reports to all involved.

I sometimes have sync issues too, but for apps only.

Apps won't transfer from my phone to my iTunes...weird.

Apps sometimes crash too
