^^ title states it all

this means past or present.

also did they replease them?

i like to see what problems people have/ had.

i guess this could include dead pixels, ill add a seperate selection for that

theres problaby a thread on this already :S

My iMac has a green stuck pixel just off the centre of the screen and my old white MacBook suffered from quite severe discolouration.

Let's see....
Possibly bad optical drive
Fan overrun glitch (fan runs constantly)
only 512mb ram (which actually is fine, for the moment)
One dead pixel, about 1/2" above the center of the dock, very distracting as I always think it is a piece of dust.

Powerbook G4 arrived warped by the hinge. Macbook peeled a little but that was due to my negligence.

Most of my issues have been with HDD's which aren't really Apple's fault. I did have a few logic board issues with my PB though that did get fixed, but eventually the whole board died.

this pole needs a "don't have a mac"
I dont have a mac (yet) and it would be nice to see where the most problems were

My MacBook Pro 15" is in the repair center now getting the display replaced. It had a tiny fuzzy white spot on the screen (not dead pixels) that would not go away. The battery was also toast but they replaced that at the store when I checked it in.

New MacBook Pro has yellowing problem. I don't let it bother me though, other than that it is perfect.

cracks on the plastic casing.. no more on the hardware and casing, but some stuff in the OS that aren't right..

well this poll if for people who do hve a mb/mbp/iBook/etc.
i dont really care if people dont have a apple ______ as this is for problems with their laptops.

thanks people for posting :)

does nobody have a MBP 17" or are there no problems with them?

My MBs hard drive died!

I toke it to stormfront in a mad rush on my last day of warranty (no apple store open near me) and then took forever to get a new 1!

top tip if u have the chose all ways go to Apple themselves!

the chrome latch is a little tarnished, i polished it yesterday and it helped a lot but not perfect. and there is a chip in the plastic ring around the headphone jack.

i don't know if i can go on...

I did have flaws on my first gen MBP, but they were fixed:

- Screen buzzing issue
- Underperforming battery

Great service by Apple (so far). I might upgrade when AppleCare runs out next year. Right now I see no reason to switch to anything new.

The lining around the top of the macbook peeled off some. They offered to replace the whole top part because it was under warranty but then I spilt beer into it so oh well.

Well since God isn't doing the manufacturing, every single machine has some imperfections. So it depends on what threshold you want to set for the claim of "flawed." My powerbook G4 has a very very small, faint so-called 'white spot' on the screen, but it is is so minor to even a visual-centric person like myself that it wasn't worth my time and effort to get the screen replaced even though apple offered to do it for free.

So where is the line for considering a machine flawed? I'd say that a good criteria is whether or not you'd go through the time, effort and hassle to get the problem fixed when it was offered to be done for free.

So using that criteria, I'm voting that my machine was "perfect."

My white iBook G3 has a pinched inverteer cable, a battery that lasts 10 minutes tops, and has a crack in the lower right hand side of the case.

My blueberry iBook G3 has two or three cracks in it's handle, and for some reason that battery won't charge over 40%.

My mini is absolutely flawless (Although it only has 512 Mb of RAM...I'm in desperate need of 1 GB)

Mine has a strange section of metal underneath that sort of "pops" when I press on it.. cant figure out what it is.
