Does your macbook pro flex like this? I just noticed this!!!! VIDEO!

damn it, made me close my screen to try it! and nope my doesn't well slightly but not like in the video at least

Damn, looks like I have a problem. I literally feels like mushy jello. It's crazy.

Actually for some reason, my lid is actually bent outward. So its slightly convex, like a little hill near the middle. It's almost like the entire top has lost tension.

It's a Speck clear shell case with an Apple sticker on it....At least that's my guess...If it isn't then that MBP needs serious attention.:)

It flexes but nowhere near that much, about the same as the average plastic laptop on my 15". That one in the video looks like an inflatable toy or something

I'm not going to be able to visit Genius Bar until Wednesday! But I have made an appointment!

For those of you who think I am trolling and that the video is of my plastic Speck Case. Think Again... You are looking at a naked 15" Macbook Pro flexing like a piece of cheese...

This is crazy. My machine is in "PERFECT" aesthetic condition. No scratches, dings, dents, etc. I better get this fixed without any problems under AppleCare.

My 2010 13inch did that - I dont think it was that bad - I sold it so no way of testing. I may test my 2011 15MBP today.

Wow no it doesn't do that! Also side note: Why do people take "peek through a door crack" videos? I wish the iphone made you film horizontally ;)

I know for a fact that this is not normal! I just tried on a few of my Friends machines and it is no where nearly as bad as mine. I can deflect mine just by resting my hand on it. It has ZERO structural support...

I'm now hoping the same thing. Mine early 2011 15" MBP has been going slow as hell lately too, I'm taking mine in this weekend to get checked / replaced.

I posted this on the official Apple Support Community and was told that this is normal, really?

It seems that, more often than not, when anyone asks if "this is normal" the pat answer is "yes, it's fine, don't worry about it, etc".

Doesn't look normal to me!

Mine has a good amount of flex. Not quite as much as that, but then again it could be the lack of lighting when I was checking mine. Like another poster said, it very well may be due to the anti-glare.

I don't think it's the anti-glare. I have a late 2010 15" hi-res anti-glare MBP and it takes a lot of pressure for the aluminum around the Apple logo to deflect even slightly, 1 mm at most. Also, the lid/screen is very stiff when twisted at the top corners, and greatly resists flexing. Maybe there are thickness variances in different lid production lots.
