no, but my MBP makes a weird clicking/thunking sound coming from the optibay portion of the case when lifted up/down suddenly. i have a thread on it and no one knows what I'm talking about. not a big issue though.

I have the same sound. I thought it was the HD going into a safe park position triggered by the sudden motion sensor but not sure if that is true.
