question pretty much explains itself, sorry guys if it has already been asked, i did a forum search but found nothing on it, i knwo to download httpmail for hotmail to work (old accounts) mine is working is it the same deal with @msn.com accounts? thx in advance for the help

ahhaah my bad, okay here it goes... i have a friend who just got a mac and i want to help him setup his e-mail account in the apple mail app. he is got an something@msn.com account how would i go into setting up that account in mail? Is it the same as with hotmail? or is it like setting up a gmail account? are msn accounts IMAP? POP? or httpmail? hope that's better...

For hotmail.com email there was the "httpmail" plugin for Mail.app but I don't know if it works anymore.

MacFreepops works for most hotmail accounts. Don't know about msn.
