The Dictionary.com app has finally been updated, which is a good thing if you've been on 3.0 for a long time. Before the update, the app would just close before it even opened /:

It is "iPhone OS 3.0 Tested" but of course, this is an app that doesn't require push so you're probably not *as* excited :D

... push on a dictionary app.. how would that work..

It's because I was going to post in a thread that asked what apps had push, I'm not saying it should. Sorry about the misleading title.

if they were smart they would have some sort of toggle for like "word of the day" or something like that to push.

that would just get annoying..

That and it would be pushing just to push when pushing is not always necessary. Pushing will be the latest and greatest thing that many apps will attempt to take advantage of. It's a nice way for apps to force feed you something, like a word of the day. ;)

My word of the day ... NO.

they could do that, but why take on the additional costs of providing push? the would have to start putting ads in it or charge $.99, which seems like a bad idea just for the word of the day.
