So much for upgrading... Does anyone have a fix for not having a GUID partition table scheme? I was hoping I wouldn't have clean install, I just got everything how I wanted it. *sigh*

Something tells me there's no way around this.

Use SuperDuper's free version to clone your disk to a backup drive, boot off that and use Disk Utility to reformat your primary drive using GUID, use SuperDuper again to clone it back, and then upgrade...

I am having the same problem. I'm backing up my hard drive via time machine to external usb drive. Then I'm gonna reformat and install SL, and finally clone back.

This has already been successfully accomplished.

Update: I ran disk utility from the SL DVD and formatted my HD to GUID. I then installed SL. After the intro video, SL asked me if I wanted to migrate from a time machine backup. I connected my external HD, which had been backed up by Time Machine on the previous APM version. Absolutely worked like a charm. Computer asks as if I simply updated from Leopard to SL. Success! Thanks to everyone here!
